Hendrickson CDC and Deer Hair Comparadun

A pattern I really like and yet I have never tried using is the CDC and Deer Hair Comparadun by Davie McPhail. I have tied and fished with comparaduns for many years, but I have never tried blending CDC into the deer hair wing. So I decided today to try adding CDC to my favorite Hendrickson Comparadun pattern. The result looks really good too me and it should float just fine. Let me know what you think?

Note: I use Natures Spirit’s Fine Dubbing for the body and Coq De Leon for the tail on this pattern.

Here is Davie McPhail’s video tying a BWO CDC and Deer Hair Comparadun.

Looks very nice. The pattern makes good sense to me, tho’ I simply eliminate the deer hair in the smaller sizes.
