The Southern Wisconsin chapter of Trout Unlimited (SWTU) will be conducting fly tying classes at two Madison WI area locations beginning in January 2012. They teach three different class levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. These are excellent opportunities to learn hands-on fly tying techniques and is open to everyone.
The SWTU Madison WI area fly tying classes are FREE and will be held at:
- Beginning and Intermediate fly tying classes are taught in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin
- Beginning and Advanced fly tying classes are taught in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
All materials are provided, but you must supply your own fly tying tools and thread.
Beginning and intermediate fly tying classes will meet in Sun Prairie, WI starting on Jan. 11, 2012, on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 PM for 10 consecutive weeks.
Beginning and Advanced fly tying classes will meet in Fitchburg, WI starting on Jan. 26, 2012, on Thursday evenings from 7-9 PM for 10 consecutive weeks.
Advanced registration is required. Go to: http://www.swtu.org/flytying.html and follow the links for fly tying registration. Registration deadline is 1/8/12 for Sun Prairie and 1/22/12 for Fitchburg. Students are accepted in the order registrations are received and their past fly tying classes have been extremely popular so register early. Remember it is free.
